I really admire Madam Chen for her unconditional love and care for both her husband and son. It is tough to care for a polio-stricken child and a bedridden husband at the same time especially since she is not in the pink of health. She may not have a job but I feel that she has the toughest 24 hour job having to look after her son who is dependent on her.

Madam Chen never asked to have such heavy burden but yet, she takes things in her stride and even worried for what will happen to her son after she dies. As a mum, who wouldn't? This is really exceptional. It is stated that the family is receiving handouts from relatives. I think that more should be done to help the family not only with regards to financial issue because money is not everything.

As a mother and wife, she has successfully carried out her responsibility and this can be a great lesson in many aspects. It just gets to me whenever I come across similar stories because it made me realize that there are many other unfortunate people out there who needs help.
